Situated on an upland sheep farm and enjoying a considerable degree of seclusion, whilst not totally isolated. The cottage has recently been upgraded and provides a surprising amount of accommodation.
Only five minutes by car to the picturesque town of Gatehouse of Fleet which is well provided for with a good variety of hotels and restaurants, a 7 day mini market plus a delightful and testing nine hole golf course, tennis courts, river and loch fishings (by permit in season) and other visitor attractions.
This cottage is particularly attractive for out of season Autumn, Winter and early Spring breaks. As well as the usual benefits of fresh air and good walking, the warmth and comfort provided by the cottage with full central heating, double glazing and insulation and the value of the full range of Sky+ TV channels, all make for a very attractive package for both full week and weekend breaks at low out of season rates. This is a particularly attractive area for birdwatchers with a huge variety of species in the immediate area.
There are several sandy beaches and rocky coves very close by and, within walking distance of the cottage, one can gain access to extensive walks through hill and forestry ground plus a delightful right of way down the valley to the town.
