Originally the servants" quarters within this small historic 18th century B listed country house. The apartment offers spacious, cosy comfort for two , on three levels, self contained with its own entrance. The house stands in an elevated position in mature gardens extending to 5 acres - a haven for wildlife, birds, bats, red squirrels and roe deer abound. It overlooks the village commanding southerly views across the Solway Estuary.
Kirroughtree Forest, one of the stages of the 7Stanes mountain bike network, can be accessed from the apartment. There is an outside facility for washing down bikes and a lock up store on site.
Creetown village has two general stores, a butcher, fruit and veg market 10am-12noon Fridays and two hotels serving food (sit in and takeaway). Nearby, Newton Stewart provides supermarkets, a variety of shops and restaurants and an 18 hole golf course. The towns of Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright are within a half hour drive.
