Field Cottage sits in a peaceful position with a lovely outlook from all sides over farmland. A grassed area surrounds the house with open fields beyond.
Nearby Castle Douglas, the Food Town, provides excellent shopping facilities with a number of pubs, hotels and restaurants. Delightful countryside surrounds the property with a number of quiet roads ideal for walking and cycling. The nearby village of Haugh of Urr has a popular local pub serving food and real ales.
Within easy access are a number of interesting villages and towns, including Kirkcudbright, and within a half hour"s drive is the Solway Coast and the villages of Kippford and Rockcliffe. A great area for walking plus mountain biking on the 7Stanes network. This is an ideal location for a quiet restful holiday or a perfect base for an active one.
