A delightful cottage, modernised and equipped to a high standard, located in a quiet and secluded position adjacent to the owner"s house and close to the sandy beach at Sandyhills.
Craigbittern Cottage has recently been upgraded to provide high quality self catering accommodation. Although attached to the owner"s house, the property enjoys a considerable degree of privacy with shared use of the extensive garden ground. Very close to the safe sandy beach and the 18 hole golf course at Colvend, this cottage is perfectly located for a family holiday. A short drive along the coast are the holiday villages of Rockcliffe, with its sandy beach and Kippford, the sailing centre of South West Scotland. In the other direction is the RSPB reserve at Mersehead and, slightly further on, the historic village of New Abbey with the ruins of Sweetheart Abbey and the nearby Mabie Forest. Mabie has a children"s playground, extensive forest walks and has one of the stages of the 7Stanes mountain bike network.
For an active or a relaxing holiday it would be difficult to find a better location.
